A MAYOR PLAYER

Weekend Courier - - Opinion We Now Have A Rockingham Based Premier But -

SO what do Mayors do?

It seems ratepayers spend hundred of thousands of dollars so that these mayors can enjoy photo opportunities, which supposedly promote our cities.

The problem comes when being mayor is not enough.

Kwinana Mayor (Carol) Adams, a repeat offender in trying to get another job, blurs the lines between her day job and the real job she wants.

Mayor Adams has spent lots of her time promoting the Outer Harbour.

When she runs for State parliament she helps the Liberal Democrat candidate get elected with her preferences.

Of course Liberal Democrats are against public ownership of assets.

So Mayor Adams thinks it’s better to do a preference deal to try and get herself elected to State Parliament, (rather) than show integrity and keep faith in what she has been preaching for years.

Maybe it’s time Kwinana had a Mayor who wants the job? KEVIN DESMOND, Parmelia.

AMATEUR photographer Mark Nangle shared this photo of the Grain Terminal at sunset from Kwinana Beach. The Parmelia resident has been experimenting with Photoshop and composite images. “This is actually two photos merged together,” he said. “The moon was out but would not have been in this shot. “I took a separate photo of the moon and added it into this shot.” Send photos to weekendcourier@communitynews. com.au
