Genetics on the agenda
CATE Peace is guest speaker at the Family History Society of Rockingham and districts meeting on May 6.
She is a genetic genealogist and the convenor of the DNA interest group at the WA Genealogical Society.
Ms Peace has been using DNA testing to further her own family history research, as well as helping others to break through brick walls using a combination of DNA testing and traditional archival methods.
The talk is a continuation of a previous talk in November 2016, and explains an essential tool for DNA Gedmatch for DNA and family history research.
Gedmatch is a free secure website, where anyone can upload their DNA and find more genetic cousins.
