Medium firm wins big

A COM­PANY based in Rock­ing­ham has won the Medium Busi­ness cat­e­gory in the WA Tel­stra Busi­ness Awards.

En­dur­a­clad In­ter­na­tional is only six years old and started with bor­rowed tools.

The busi­ness has grown to be­come a global leader in the metal fabri­ca­tion in­dus­try.

En­dur­a­clad In­ter­na­tional pro­duces and sup­plies chromium car­bide, ce­ramic and steel com­po­nents to the global re­sources in­dus­try.

Man­ag­ing di­rec­tor Ja­son Kell said the win was tes­ta­ment to his team. “Each team mem­ber has con­trib­uted to En­dur­a­clad In­ter­na­tional’s suc­cess – they are all well de­serv­ing re­cip­i­ents,” he said.

“When I started this com­pany from scratch six years ago it was the peo­ple around me who en­sured it got to the point where it is to­day.”

Mr Kell is an avid sup­porter of pro­vid­ing op­por­tu­nity to peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ties, de­vel­op­ing em­ploy­ment and train­ing pro­grams to break down bar­ri­ers to en­try in the workforce.

“Ev­ery­one has skills that are valu­able,” he said.

“It is just a mat­ter of match­ing their skills to the work­ing en­vi­ron­ment.

“We have ac­tively sought to im­prove En­dur­a­clad In­ter­na­tional’s train­ing pro­grams with the aim of em­ploy­ing more peo­ple with dis­abil­i­ties.”

With a fo­cus on in­no­va­tion and re­li­a­bil­ity, En­dur­a­clad In­ter­na­tional has en­abled re­source com­pa­nies around the world to re­duce the wear and tear on their ma­te­rial han­dling ma­chin­ery.
