Weekend Courier - - Front Page - Gabrielle Jeffery

DOG and animal lovers are set to have a ball on October 15 at the Furry Friend Fun Day.

City of Rockingham residents are invited to the Rockingham Dog Club at Bungaree Oval from 10am to 12.30pm to indulge your fur children in a range of activities, including discounted microchipping for $35 cash (City of Rockingham residents only).

Other activities include a mobile dog wash, photo props, show bags, pet-related market stalls, sausage sizzle and coffee van.

City of Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels expects it to be a great day out for pet owners.

“If your furry best friend is not yet microchipped, this is a great opportunity to bring them along to the Furry Friend Fun Day,” he said.

“Meet the rangers, get information about registration renewal and get to know the d474346 City’s off-leash dog exercise areas, while socialising your dog and enjoying a cuppa.”

He also reminded residents to renew their pet’s registration for its lifetime before November 1 and go into the draw to win one of five $100 vouchers donated by Pet City WA.

The Rockingham Dog Club is at 1 Crater Place.
