HYUNDAI has given its re­cently in­tro­duced Ac­cent Sport a new dark chrome grille and head­light bezel colour, plus a sub­tly up­dated in­te­rior for 2018.

There are also four new paints fin­ishes: Chalk White, Lake Sil­ver, Pulse Red and Blue La­goon, join­ing Phantom Black and Sun­flower.

In the cabin, there are new fonts used for the speedo and rev counter graph­ics, a four-speaker au­dio sys­tem with 5-inch touch­screen dis­play, AUX and USB in­puts, Blue­tooth phone con­nec­tiv­ity, and mu­sic stream­ing and Ap­ple CarPlay com­pat­i­bil­ity.

The 103kW/167Nm, 1.6-litre GDipetrol engine and 16-inch al­loy wheels re­main un­changed.

The Ac­cent comes in four-door sedan and five-door hatch­back vari­ants – take your pick at $15,490 each – for the 6-speed man­ual or $2K ex­tra for 6-speed au­to­matic.

There’s also a Life­time Ser­vice Plan, 5-Year un­lim­ited kilo­me­tre war­ranty, a 5-year Sat­Nav up­date plan and a road­side sup­port plan for up to 10 years.
