Truck and fuel theft lands man in court
A 30-year-old Warnbro man has been charged with stealing over the disappearance of a fire truck.
The vehicle, a Toyota Landcruiser ute, went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning near Pemberton.
It was then allegedly used in a fuel drive-off in Preston Beach on Tuesday, with police releasing images of two men wanted for questioning.
Based on information provided by members of the public, the two people pictured in the CCTV images from the fuel drive-off incident were identified by police. One of the men, a 30-year-old from Warnbro, was found in the Perth metro area.
He has been charged with possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property and stealing a motor vehicle.
He has also been charged with having no authority to drive and possession of cannabis and methylamphetamine.
