THE City of Kwinana in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Com­mu­nity First, are hold­ing a se­ries of art work­shops in­tended for res­i­dents liv­ing with a dis­abil­ity in the City of Kwinana.

The work­shops are de­liv­ered by pro­fes­sional artists, de­signed to ex­plore a va­ri­ety of art medi­ums such as screen and laser print­ing, mo­saics and more.

If par­tic­i­pants re­quire as­sis­tance they will need to en­sure that they are ac­com­pa­nied by a sup­port per­son.

Some of the works cre­ated will be used in an ex­hi­bi­tion at the Dar­ius Wells Cen­tre in De­cem­ber to cel­e­brate all abil­i­ties and in­crease pub­lic aware­ness, un­der­stand­ing and ac­cep­tance of peo­ple with dis­abil­ity and the con­tri­bu­tions they make to the com­mu­nity.

The event co­in­cides with In­ter­na­tional Day of Peo­ple with Dis­abil­ity on De­cem­ber 3.
