SADLY, last week Deborah Walsh lost her battle with cancer, leaving behind her husband Gary Gray, the former Member for Brand, and their three sons.

Deb was a strong and determined woman who supported Gary as he served our local community in the federal parliament.

Right until the end Deb fought for equality, and only last month was at the marriage equality rally on the Rockingham foreshore.

As a past councillor, the best advice I could give to anyone contemplating community service is that if you have a weak disposition or can’t stand the heat, you should reconsider your decision.
