ROCKINGHAM elite swimmer Holly Barratt is really happy with her performance at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast.

Barratt won silver in the 50m butterfly and was fourth in the 50m backstroke final.

Barratt was one of six swimmers from WA chosen as part of the Australian Dolphins Swimming Team.

“It was super fun,” Barratt said.

Swimming WA chief executive Darren Beazley said the WA swimmers secured six medals at the Commonwealth Games.

“It was an amazing feat, given the elite competition that they were up against,” he said.

“These incredible performances were the result of the fine work and dedication by our clubs and our coaches who have worked tirelessly over many years.

“I was lucky enough to be poolside for several of the swimming events and was so proud of all of our swimmers.

Barratt said she was now preparing for the Pan Pacific Championships in August.

“It’s a big meet where we race Japan, the US and China,” she said.

“The trials start in July.”
