Oh Do Kwan awe­some in Osaka

PORT Kennedy’s Taek­wondo Oh Do Kwan club did not re­turn emp­ty­handed af­ter com­pet­ing in Osaka, Ja­pan, for the 16th In­ter­na­tional Clubs Taek­wondo Cham­pi­onship.

Mas­ter In­struc­tor Anita Tip­pet said she was ex­tremely proud of her team win­ning two gold, two sil­ver and three bronze medals over­all.

Si­mon San­dover won bronze in his poom­sae cat­e­gory and Kris Hart­mann placed fifth.

Alana Broomer (16) par­tic­i­pated in the above 68kg ju­nior sec­tion and took home gold.

Christo­pher Payne (17) won gold in the be­low 68kg divi­sion.

Taj Bar­bour (15) com­peted in the be­low 55kg divi­sion ju­nior, tak­ing sil­ver, and 12-year-old cadet Chloe Skey won sil­ver. Mitchell Payne and Rod­ney Hart­mann won bronze.
