Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - Property - - MARKET WRAP - WORDS ALEISHA PIDGEON

Three sales have been secured at new Southport development Lotus Residences since its launch on the market last week.

McGrath Projects Gold Coast sales manager Todd Matheson says interest has been strong in the 12 two-bedroom, two bathroom apartments at 124 Falcon St.

“It’s been a combination of first-home owners and also interstate investors from Sydney and Melbourne,” Todd explains.

“The biggest thing is it’s a unique product – there’s not a lot of unique boutique blocks in Southport.

“What most people have liked is the aesthetics of it.

“This developer has channelled the energy from TV shows such as The Block and have realised that the general public want a bit more flair as everyone’s expectations are growing.”

The apartments feature earthy tones, wood-look flooring, and high-end fittings and fixtures including Laminam stone benches in the kitchen. The interior was completed by renowned interior designer Adele Bates while each apartment has live-in balconies, with integrated barbecues and movable screens.

Jackson Property Group developed Lotus Residences with a focus on boutique, residential living.

Construction is expected to start on the four-level building in March and be finished by the end of the year.

Apartments are priced between $415,000 and $480,000. Body corporate fees are $41 per week.
