Beachfront bliss

Step straight on to the sand from your luxurious three-level Surfers Paradise home

IT’S dubbed the ultimate Gold Coast beach house and for good reason.

“Beach House One” is a three-level residence that is part of highrise Platinum on the Beach but sits to the side of the building.

With its own entry, plunge pool, media room, feature staircase, rooftop terrace and direct beach access, it stands out for its upmarket vibe and exclusivity.

The residence features ocean views from all levels as well as a vista of the Surfers Paradise skyline.

Business entrepreneur Louis Zenonos bought the property in 2008. “It’s very unique in that it’s a beach house in the middle of all the action,” he said. “It’s irreplaceable.”

Mr Zenonos, who divides his time between Sydney and the Gold Coast, said the beachfront location was what initially sparked his interest.

“I love being out in the backyard and listening to the ocean,” he said.

The 587sq m home has a contemporary style with timbers, marble, blue-tinted windows and European appliances.

There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms and space for three cars.

“You’ve got your own garage so you walk straight into the house from the garage, take a flight of stairs up and you’re in the living, dining and lounge areas and you and walk straight out to the backyard which is the beach,” he said.

“There’s a flight of stairs up and then you’ve got the bedrooms and the study. You’ve also got the rooftop deck which is waiting for someone to come along and do something special to it.”

Mr Zenonos said the property had even been home to several Hollywood stars over the years including Gerard Buttler.

“It’s very private and that’s what they liked about it,” he said.

Mr Zenonos, who is currently building luxury apartments at Main Beach, said the home would suit a range of buyers.

“It’s a holiday house or full-time seachange,” he said. “It will be very hard to replace because it feels like a house on the beach. But it’s just time for me to move on.”

Harcourts Coastal agent Tolemy Stevens is marketing the property and said it was one of the most exclusive beach houses on the Gold Coast.

“Created to surpass all other beachfront living options and home to just a handful of fortunate and discerning owners, this is a rarely available opportunity to acquire an oceanfront home unlike any other,” Mr Stevens said.

The tightly-held residential-only Platinum on the Beach has 14 residences and an on-site manager.

Resident facilities include an outdoor heated pool, spa, saunas, gymnasium, barbecue area and cinema.

It is in walking distance to patrolled surf beachs and Northcliffe Surf Life Saving Club.
