Staying close to nature
The Surrounds’ lucky residents will have 22ha of parklands at Helensvale to explore and enjoy
PARKS are proving a big perk for home buyers at Helensvale’s latest community, The Surrounds.
The $500-million community at the former Gold Coast Country Club will offer its 620 residences 22ha of parkland.
Villawood Properties executive director Tony Johnson said each house would be a hop, skip and jump to walking paths, parks, and a dog park.
“The location of each block is ideal for those who love nature and animals,” Mr Johnson said.
“With walking paths, a nature play children’s park, natural parklands and the only off-leash dog park in the area literally on their doorstep. The Surrounds is a modern, walkable community where every home is less than 200m from open space.
“Across the creek is the protected Coombabah Lake Conservation Area, which is home to 27 species of animals, including the koala, powerful owl and migrating birds.”
“The prestigious home sites will also be a short walk to the soon-to-be constructed leisure centre and central park.”
The land release follows a string of sales at The Surrounds, which has resulted in land releases being fast-tracked to bring them to market. Home sites at Stage 1F Northpoint are currently selling and are priced from $409,900 to $439,900.
Mr Johnson said buyers appreciated the number of lifestyle amenities.
“Proximity to green space is so important with people’s lifestyles being so busy these days, which is why 22 ha of parkland and open space is central to the design,” he said.
“The Surrounds offers a place to connect, unwind, exercise or relax from everyday life.”
