Seeking place in country
Montego Hills acreage offerings are proving popular with young families seeking plenty of space to stretch out in rural comfort
FAMILIES looking for their “forever home” are seeing value in getting back to nature with the dream house and rural outlook now an affordable option at Villawood’s Kingsholme acreage community Montego Hills.
Villawood Properties executive director Tony Johnson said building on acreage had become a popular choice for young families, with land starting from $329,900.
“With the price gap between acreage and suburban housing tightening, this lifestyle has never been more achievable, if you know where to look,” he said.
Scott and Siobhan Harding (pictured above with their children) had been looking for a new home for more than two years before deciding to buy at Montego Hills. “We’ve always lived on the Gold Coast but with three kids, we were looking for somewhere with more space for the kids to play and grow and the ability to build a bigger home,” Mr Harding said.
“We loved the idea of being able to design our own home that was truly ours. We’ve designed a contemporary style home, with a kids’ quarters, and open-plan living that links the inside and out.”
