Hamptons-inspired waterfront home
Renovations have refreshed this luxury waterfront home, which has breathtaking views up the river as far as the Gold Coast skyline
THIS Hamptons-inspired waterfront home at Sorrento is what dreams are made of.
It exudes luxury with a white interior, modern fixtures and a range of natural materials including oak, Carrara marble and polished stone throughout.
Extensive renovations have refreshed the five-bedroom home’s style.
Vendor Troy Lee said the home at 9 Rowes Court looked completely different when he bought it in 2015.
He and his partner, Alita, fell in love with it from the moment they set eyes on it.
“We only looked at the property one day before (we bought it),” Mr Lee said. However, they knew it needed work. From replacing the property’s wiring and plumbing to installing new bathrooms and a kitchen, the couple have transformed the home.
“It was great fun, it came up really well,” Mr Lee said.
He said the home’s Bali hut was a standout feature when they bought the home.
“It was probably one of the largest we’ve ever seen on a property,” Mr Lee said.
They have since turned it into what’s affectionately known as the “beach pavilion”.
“The beach pavilion is probably our favourite spot,” Mr Lee said.
“It ties the inside of the house to the outside.”
The home sits on an 875sq m parcel of land.
Bi-fold doors open the combined living, dining and kitchen area up onto the beach pavilion and terraced area, which overlooks the water and Gold Coast skyline.
Mr Lee said the space was perfect for entertaining guests.
There is also a pool surrounded by a tropical garden, sunbathing deck and pontoon outside.
Mr Lee also loved the designer kitchen’s marble island benchtop, which he sourced specifically for the home.
It also has a four-car garage, ducted and zoned airconditioning and a secured boat shed.
