IT was designed to make the most of the wide water vistas and scenic city skyline on the horizon.

This Sorrento home is perfectly positioned overlooking the Nerang River.

Owner Anna Mortimore, who lived in the property with her family for four years, said its location was one of the main reasons they bought it.

“We wanted a house on main river and we wanted to be north east to the water,” she said.

“It’s got the added benefit of having its own private beach.

“There’s not many properties on main river that have their own beach.”

The modern double-storey property sits on a 602sq m block and has five bedrooms, each of which have their own bathroom.

It also has an outdoor entertainment area that overlooks an infinity edge pool.

A neutral palette, timber floors and suspended glass and timber staircase give it a sense of sophistication that will remain fresh for years to come.

“The high quality finishes are dateless,” Mrs Mortimore said.

Located in a gated community estate, she said the added security was a major selling point.

“Being in a smaller estate, you’ve got the added benefits of the security and additional parking,” she said.
