Illegals pick wrong entry

DOZENS of Asian nationals are being refused entry to the country at Gold Coast Airport after signing up with illegal labour hire operators to work on the region’s fruit plantations, construction sites and even karaoke bars.

Australian Border Force officers this week turned back 11 Malaysian nationals who planned to work illegally on tourist visas. It comes just weeks after another 32 Malaysians were detained.

This year, 130 people from Asian nations have been refused entry after Border Force officers established they were “non-genuine” visitors.
