Ms Solway will spend the long weekend putting smiles on faces as she hands them their dagwood dogs.

The 19-year-old student who works as a food operator said the classic treat still reigned supreme.

“The dagwood dogs are really popular,” she said. “But I think chicken nuggets are coming a close second.”

This 16-year-old bull rider from Caboolture has licence to list ‘cowboy’ as his occupation.

He travels the country to ride bulls and is joining 22 of the best for the inaugural GC Show ‘Cowboy Wars’.

“The Gold Coast Show has been great, the crowds are all pretty good,” he said.

“But to be honest, this is sort of my average weekend. I’m out competing against these guys all the time.”
