The big­gest South Amer­i­can fes­ti­val on the Gold Coast kicks off at the Broad­wa­ter Park­lands to­day at noon … and it won’t stop til the early hours of to­mor­row morn­ing.

To en­sure you can keep shak­ing your mara­cas all night long, La Fiesta 2017 is serv­ing up truck­loads of tasty Latino cui­sine.

From the Chilean flavours of Ata­cama to the Span­ish spices of La Fla­menca and the Colom­bian dishes of Latin Bros, there’s food from al­most ev­ery South Amer­i­can out­post.

With your taste­buds danc­ing in de­light, let the rest of your body join in thanks to a line-up of live bands, DJs and per­for­mances.

There’s also South Amer­i­can arts and crafts to sam­ple, as well as some saucy dance steps – from the tango, to salsa, pole dancers and fire dancers.

To top off the night for kids, there’s a fireworks dis­play, while those over 18 can head into Surfers for the after-party at Shoot­ers night­club which kicks on un­til 3am.
