AN Ipswich Australian rules footballer charged with assault after allegedly kicking another player in the head on the field has not appeared in court for a brief mention of his matter.

Liam Nantkita Tudor, 19, has been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm after allegedly kicking Redcliffe player Josiah Daniel while playing for the Eagles in a match on August 19

The matter was adjourned.
