Charges for site deaths
FOUR people and a business will face court next year over their alleged involvement in the death of two workers who were crushed by a concrete panel at Eagle Farm Racecourse last year.
Ashley Morris, 34, and Humberto Leite, 55, were killed in October 2016, while working around 14 tonne concrete panels, which formed the walls for a drainage tank.
If found guilty, the company, Criscon Pty Ltd, faces fines of up to $3 million.
The case is expected to be before Brisbane Magistrates Court on January 19.
