Hospital expands day services
ROBINA Private Hospital operator Healthe Care Australia has expanded its services on the Gold Coast, opening a day procedures facility.
The purpose-built facility will deliver interventional pain procedures, endoscopy and oral maxillofacial surgery.
The facility includes a reception, an admissions office and change rooms, as well as a pre-operative holding bay, a procedure room, a four-bed first-stage recovery room, a discharge lounge and a sterilising unit.
Robina Private Hospital chief executive Anna Styles Tape said plans were progressing to introduce other specialties.
“Although we have just recently opened, patient feedback has been extremely positive. There is clear demand for the procedural services we currently offer and those we plan to introduce,” she said.
Robina Private Hospital is a 90-bed mental health, medical and day procedure hospital.
Its day procedures unit is staffed by nursing and technical staff, and supported by the other services provided at the hospital, including its 30-bed general medical ward.
Healthe Care’s Gold Coast portfolio includes Robina Private Hospital and Currumbin Clinic.
The company is the Gold Coast’s largest private mental health provider, with a combined 164 mental health beds.
Its mental health services offer specialised treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, youth and young adult mental illness, eating disorders, older persons’ mental health concerns, peri-natal mood disorders and addictive disorders.
Staff are all smiles at Robina Private Hospital’s expanded day procedures facility.
