Surf’s up at Meriton’s proposed Ocean tower

Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - - BUSINESS -

IF there’s anything as sure as death and taxes on the Gold Coast, it’s that the Gold Coast Bulletin inbox will be blessed with new artists’ impressions of the latest development projects in the city.

As computer generation has improved, so too have the impressions with many offering quite entertaining characters in the detail.

Last week, one such development had a bunch of pigeons pecking around the foyer of a new building, which we thought was an interesting, if honest choice, but this week our easily-amused minds had this guy (pictured).

Heading into the lobby of the Harry Triguboff’s underconstruction Ocean tower at Surfers Paradise, is a smart looking man in full business suit, with a freshly waxed surfboard under his arm.

Who is this guy? Has he been surfing in that suit? Is he checking into the hotel for a business trip and hoping to get a cheeky pre-brekky surf in before his meeting? Whatever his story, it’s about as GC as an artist impression can get.
