Fences up at ex-KFC
THE redevelopment of the old Labrador KFC site into a $136million, 35-storey tower is one step closer.

Ground testing will be carried out before the former fast food restaurant building is demolished.
Sunland’s project has been approved by the Gold Coast City Council and the development giant is understood to be refining its design.
There are no immediate plans to begin construction.
In 2016 the Gold Coast Bulletin revealed the proposed tower would have 217 units, made up of 169 two-bedroom units, 69 three-bedroom apartments and six four-bedroom units.
Last year KFC relocated the popular eatery, which opened in 1969, to an Ashmore site on Olsen Ave.
