Weekend Gold Coast Bulletin - - NEWS - EMILY HALLORAN

YES, Santa Claus really is coming to town.

It’s going to be a very busy Christmas for Santa as he starts to make appearances at shopping centres across the Gold Coast from today.

This weekend Santa sessions are being launched at three centres on the Gold Coast – Pacific Fair, Coomera Westfield and Helensvale Westfield – before the whitewhiskered jolly gentleman in the red suit starts making appearances at other places around the Coast.

There will be free activities at Pacific Fair this weekend, ranging from workshops on how to make gingerbread men and snow globes to face painting and even watching the Grinch perform.

If you’re wondering how Santa manages to travel everywhere so fast, he has a little secret.

“I have special magic dust that makes me travel to places really fast,” the Pacific Fair Santa told the Bulletin as he prepared for the holiday rush.

The new Westfield Coomera shopping centre is having a big day of events as Santa arrives at the centre in style in a helicopter.

The busy season kicks off this weekend for Santa Claus (aka Col Myers) at Pacific Fair, Coomera Westfield and Helensvale Westfield.
