Healthy eating is cheaper (really!)

Weight Watchers Magazine (Australia) - - Food // Fit // Feel -

There’s a common misconception that healthy eating is expensive, but the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) believes there are plenty of ways Aussies – especially uni students who might be strapped for cash and need plenty of nutritious food to boost cognitive development – can choose healthy foods on a budget. Tim Mcmaster, DAA spokesperson and accredited practising dietitian, suggests having an apple (45c/100g) instead of a chocolate bar ($2.20/50g), porridge (15c/30g rolled oats) over cornflakes (30c/30g) and buying lean raw chicken (40c/100g) rather than pre-made kebabs ($2/100g).
