Do you ever feel like you might be run­ning to­wards the wrong finish line? If so, pause and prac­tise mind­ful­ness. Re­searchers from Canada’s Univer­sity of Que­bec-mon­treal found that peo­ple who do this pur­sue goals that are mo­ti­vated by what they truly want, which cul­ti­vates feel­ings of well­be­ing. You could prac­tise med­i­ta­tion or, as Monash Univer­sity as­so­ciate pro­fes­sor Craig Hassed sug­gests, “Try to live in the mo­ment and take the time to en­joy the jour­ney.”
