Flower power in the park

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Weekly Life -

KINGS Park Festival’s Adorable Florables are the perennial favourite at the annual monthlong event and this year the colourful and charismatic characters have some new additions to the cast.

“They’re like magnets to visitors in the park when they’re out and about and although it’s all fun and games, they have a great message about how amazing our WA flora is,” communications coordinator Rebecca Maddern, of North Fremantle, said.

“Each of the characters has a very specific personality which reflects the kind of plant they are.

“They’ll be wandering through the park this year in a promenade performance and as they walk they’ll banter between themselves, arguing about who is the best wildflower of them all.”
