CHANCE TO REWARD EXCELLENT POLICING

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Street Watch -

IMPROVING the lives of all Western Australians is part of any police officer’s job. It's what our officers strive to do day in and day out by making our community a safe and secure place to live. The reward is often the simple satisfaction of completing a shift and knowing that as an officer you have tried your hardest to somehow enhance another person's life. And now the community has an opportunity to recognise the hard work of all officers through the WA Police Excellence Awards. This year, we are receiving nominations for individual and team excellence. The winners must demonstrate excellence in a policing discipline; exemplify the core WA Police values of honesty, respect, fairness, empathy, openness and accountability; work effectively towards achieving an excellent outcome, and raise public confidence in policing. If you know an officer or police team that has excelled in these ways, we urge you to recognise their efforts by nominating them for an award by October 3 at www.police.wa.gov.au. - Superintendent Murray Smalpage
