SWANBOURNE Primary School is hoping to break its record of 680 participants during this year’s Run for Fun on September 14.

The run is a fundraising event for the Swanbourne PS Parents and Citizens Association.

President Michelle Quackenbush encouraged everyone to get involved in the day, even if it is just to enjoy the festival atmosphere.

“This fabulous event brings Swanbourne Primary School and the surrounding community together for a day of competition, activities and fun,” Ms Quackenbush said.

Entrants can choose to run the 2km or 4km course around Lake Claremont and finish on the oval at Swanbourne PS, where the Spring Fair will be held.

The Spring Fair will include more than 20 stalls and activities with an obstacle course, rock-climbing wall, cookie decorating and local produce, arts and crafts for sale.

The race begins at 10am and registration is available on the day, 9am or at www.swanbournerunforfun.com.

Runners and walkers cross the line after completing the Run for Fun race last year, which attracted hundreds of entrants.
