WINE OF THE WEEK

Agrapart Terroirs Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut NV

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Wine -

Agrapart famously deliver low-dosage wines with perfect fruit ripeness.

This wine is delicious, 100 per cent Chardonnay, salted preserved lemons on the nose, expansive, biscuity palate, clean and long with refreshing acidity. 5gms/RS. Love it. 18.4 points. RRP $100. Pol Roger Brut Reserve NV A stalwart and for good reason – it is an impressive NV in great form. A surprisingly energetic mousse, mouth-filling in fact, but a typically fresh and onform palate. Great length of flavour, precision and everything I’ve come to expect from Pol. 18.1 points. RRP over $100.

Delamotte Blanc de Blancs NV

Four years ageing in barrel, 100 per cent grand cru chardonnay fruit. Wonderful brined lemons, mousse is energetic and the complexity and length are here in spades. This house has access to Salon fruit in declassified vintages. A great NV. 18.5 points. RRP $139.
