THE State Government is selling the bungalow known as ‘The Matron’s House’ to help pay for the Sunset Hospital heritage precinct overlooking the Swan River in Dalkeith. Last Friday, Heritage Minister Albert Jacob said sale of the house on 1993sqm on Iris Avenue would need preservation work at the hospital’s historic site, including water and electricity infrastructure, sewers, and a picnic area and playground would be built in late 2016. The lot needs WA Planning Commission approval to be subdivided into two blocks. TM Residential will market and sell the bungalow by public tender that will close on October 31.
