Retired Knights captain praises club camaraderie
WHEN Western Knights Soccer Club coaches encouraged David Annall to visit the Mosman Park club in an effort to poach him, the camaraderie got him through the door.
The 33-year-old captain retired after the Knights’ final game of the season last weekend. Annall was 18 when he became a Western Knight. “I just enjoy playing there because of the people around the club,” he said.
“The committee members are a great bunch of people who put a lot of hours and effort in to the club.”
Annall was made a life member of the club last year, one of just 16 people to receive the honour.
