THE first-ever Brownes showbags have hit the Claremont Showground.

It is the first time in 100 years the company has sold a goodie bag at the annual event.

Brownes had a stand at the annual event in the 1950s and Brownes founder Edward Browne was a judge at the 1915 show, possibly making the company the event’s longest-serving exhibitor.

The $10 showbag includes several drinks, yogo, yoghurt and a cooler bag. said. “To be able to create something that can be enjoyed by others must be quite gorgeous. I have made attempts in the past but I don’t seem to have the knack. I blame my mother; she was very talented and it was a bit off-putting.”

The toys will be donated to children at PMH.
