Setback changes passed
FINAL changes have been made to the Town of Cambridge’s streetscape policy altering primary street setbacks in City Beach and Floreat.
The amended policy, which was adopted at last week’s council meeting, will allow more flexibility to build homes closer to the street, thereby reducing developments from encroaching into backyards and affecting adjoining properties.
The council has also endorsed changes to crossover designs for Wembley and West Leederville to prevent large areas of front yards being hard paved.
The new policy follows feedback from the Town of Cambridge Housing Survey done earlier this year.
