Quiz has Kenyan con­nec­tion

NAKURU Hope’s or­phan­age will open at the end of the month with help from money raised at a quiz night.

Founder Susan Saleeba said bunks and mat­tresses were in place and the girls’ and boys’ dorms were ready to go.

“The chil­dren are be­ing housed else­where and we’ll be bring­ing them home to us at the end of the month,” she said.

“Money raised at the quiz night will go to­wards clothes, food and blan­kets. “It’s very ex­cit­ing.” The quiz night will be on Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 24, from 7pm at The Rise, May­lands, and there will be a raf­fle prize of a trip to Nakuru, Kenya, in­clud­ing vis­its to Lake Nakuru and the Ma­sai Mara, up for grabs.

Ta­bles of 10 peo­ple and it is BYO food with a cash bar.
