TALK IS ALL OF UNCERTAINTY

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

TALK at the fruit and veg cash registers at the Station Street Markets is dominated by the popular markets’ imminent closure. Employees are talking about the uncertainty for their shops, the spaces vacated by smaller enterprises that can’t justify sticking it out and new retailers moving in with closure just around the corner. Customers are hanging on every word. See it’s not just household fridges that these markets are filling. Businesses are getting their produce from the shelves of these operators. Any closure delay is good news but until a viable alternative is locked in, these employees and customers have an uncertain future. Nevertheless, I have no doubt customers will follow these traders wherever they end up.
