Remember pets are for life, not just Christmas
LABRADOR mix Tess has such a beautiful nature that the Dogs’ Refuge Home use her as a “testing dog” to see if other dogs for adoption are sociable. The one-year-old girl would ideally go to a family who have lots of time to spend with her at the beach and park, making new friends. Although she is a little excitable and strong on the lead, Tess would respond well to more in-depth training. Kitten season at the Cat Haven means they have more miniature fluff-balls than usual, but that does not mean they make a good gift for Christmas. Black beauty Boopity and calico Penny are just two of more than 50 kittens available for adoption, with many more in foster care. Cat welfare officer Elisha Blackie said people wanting to adopt a kitten should think their decision through carefully.
