TASMANIA’S Jack Hale stole the show, winning the 100m at the University of WA’s Big 6 meet last Friday where local athletes also recorded personal bests.

Hale (16) won the race by 4m in front of about 1000 people and while 10.68 seconds was not his best time, it was enough to beat Calvin Borowski ( 11.01secs) and Terrell McKenzie (11.19secs).

“I’m extremely happy with my race, on grass and into a strong wind,” Hale said.

UWA Little Athletics Club members Austin Bennington, Kiarra Nazaroff and Ash Hardisty finished third in javelin, 1000m and 300m respectively while Adam Komatsu and Amy Tolcon recorded personal best times in the 100m and 60m respectively.
