Baby boom at St John a record
MORE than 10,000 babies have been born across St John of God Health Care campuses nationally in the past year, a record for the organisation.
An average 30 babies have been born a day across the nine maternity units nationally and passed the 10,000 mark last Thursday with 15 born in Subiaco, including Pippa Wisewould and Leo Menezies.
All babies born last Thursday received a gift.
About 3600 babies are expected to be born at the 116-year-old Subiaco hospital and 1500 at Mt Lawley.
