COTTES­LOE ratepay­ers will get to dis­cuss their coun­cil’s an­nual re­port at an elec­tors’ meet­ing next month. At last week’s meet­ing, it was de­cided to present the re­port, de­spite at least three coun­cil­lors be­ing on leave. Staff said that in 2013-14 the coun­cil had achieved a sur­plus and “only” had a rates rise of 3.8 per cent, and while an as­set main­te­nance ra­tio of 1.05 was “very good” com­pared to the guide­line of 0.95, all as­sets needed to be main­tained.The elec­tors’ meet­ing will be held at the Memo­rial Hall, Civic Cen­tre, Broome Street at 7pm on Jan­uary 31.
