As­so­ci­a­tions get grant for swimming pools

A $14,000 grant from the City of Ned­lands will en­sure chil­dren can cool off at Ned­lands and Hol­ly­wood pri­mary schools swimming pools this sum­mer.

The schools’ Par­ents and Cit­i­zens as­so­ci­a­tions were each given $7000 to help with pool op­er­a­tion and main­te­nance costs.

Mayor Max Hip­kins said he was pleased to support groups that ben­e­fited the wider com­mu­nity.

“I con­grat­u­late both the Ned­lands and Hol­ly­wood pri­mary school Par­ents and Cit­i­zens as­so­ci­a­tions for their at­ti­tude of com­mu­nity con­tri­bu­tion,” he said.
