Associations get grant for swimming pools
A $14,000 grant from the City of Nedlands will ensure children can cool off at Nedlands and Hollywood primary schools swimming pools this summer.
The schools’ Parents and Citizens associations were each given $7000 to help with pool operation and maintenance costs.
Mayor Max Hipkins said he was pleased to support groups that benefited the wider community.
“I congratulate both the Nedlands and Hollywood primary school Parents and Citizens associations for their attitude of community contribution,” he said.
Cooling off: Emily (10), Louisa (6) and Annabel Utting (7) enjoy a dip in Nedlands Primary School’s swimming pool.
