WEMBLEY Downs resident Miranda Albrich was among 72 people who celebrated 100th birthdays last year, a record number for WA.

Miranda immigrated to Australia in 1949 with her husband and daughter from Latvia.

Seniors Minister Tony Simpson said Miranda was a great example of older West Australians today staying healthy and connected to their communities for longer.
