New role for Hill

SU­BI­ACO’S new act­ing chief ex­ec­u­tive is for­mer City of Man­durah com­mu­nity and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment di­rec­tor Ian Hill.

Mr Hill started at the City of Su­bi­aco as deputy chief ex­ec­u­tive yes­ter­day. He will take over from re­tir­ing chief ex­ec­u­tive Stephen Tin­dale on Jan­uary 29 for a five-month term end­ing on June 30.

Mr Tin­dale gave no­tice of his re­tire­ment on Oc­to­ber 27 after more than six years work­ing at the City.

A panel in­clud­ing Mayor Heather Hen­der­son, Deputy Mayor Garry Trinder, re­cruit­ment con­sul­tant Ge­off Blades and coun­cil­lors Lyn­ley Hewett, Mur­ray Rowe and Scott Ar­buckle picked Mr Hill as the pre­ferred can­di­date. Mr Hill is on the UWA School of Pop­u­la­tion Health con­sumer and com­mu­nity ad­vi­sory coun­cil.
