FALLING in love with hip-hop music during high school is something many teenagers do, but few take it to the next level.

For musician L-Fresh the Lion, the genre captivated him to the point that when he started performing hip-hop, he was hooked.

One of the up-and-comers in the Australian hip-hop scene, LFresh the Lion will be heading to the Fly by Night to awe the crowd with his stage presence and lyrics.

He said he was looking forward to hitting the stage in Fremantle.

“Last time I came here with my team we were blown away by the hospitality of the local audience and they really came out in numbers to share a good time with us,” he said.

“It was one of the best shows on the tour and I feel comfortable coming back and am looking forward to the show.

“Our show is all about movement and we aim to make people move physically, mentally and spiritually.

“When you come to our show, you can expect to have a really great time but also you'll leave feeling uplifted and positive.”

L-Fresh the Lion, with support acts Mirrah and MK-1, will perform at the Fly by Night Club on January 17.
