Western Suburbs Weekly - - Drive Way -

PEUGEOT is about to pop the cork on a pair of potent new performers in the next month or two.

A GT model will be in the refreshed 508 range and joining it will be a 308 GT.

The 508 GT will feature a range of performance and visual upgrades, including a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel drive- train developing 150kW and 450Nm, double-wishbone front suspension, 19-inch alloys, GT badging, and Bixenon directional headlights.

The all-new 308 GT will have the choice of two engines: 150kW/285Nm 1.6litre turbo-charged petrol, or a 131kW/400Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel.

Both come with firmer and more responsive power steering, faster reacting accelerator and six-speed transmission and an amplified and sportier engine note.

The red-lit instrument panel will show the levels of power and torque being delivered, turbo boost pressure, and other data.
