Subiaco man on drugs charges
A SUBIACO man allegedly sold methylamphetamine and heroin before police searched his Thomas Street home at 5.25pm last Thursday.
“Throughout the search warrant numerous persons attended the address carrying cash, but no other property,” Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said.
It will be alleged 17.09g of a crystal-type drug, suspected to be methylamphetamine, was in the man’s trouser pockets, in addition to $2923, $550 under a carpet and $1085 in his bedroom.
The man (55) was charged with possessing methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, and possessing stolen or unlawfully obtained property, regarding the cash.
The man was bailed to appear at Perth Magistrates Court on February 6, when he faces an additional charge of possessing 10g of heroin allegedly found at the house during the search.
Snr Sgt Vivian said the search resulted from a “proactive” investigation by her station’s Constable Paul Donnellan which would continue after information was obtained by officers at the man’s home.
