Frankland Estate Isolation Ridge Riesling 2014 The Great Southern is home to a significant and growing proportion of Australia’s finest rieslings.

In that company, Frankland Estate’s 2002 and 2011 vintage Isolation Ridge Rieslings are among the region’s finest – and the just released 2014 vintage is equally exciting and an even better wine.

Despite being ripe and fullflavoured, this release has a praiseworthy 11.7 per cent alcohol and a lively, tingling and lime- inspired crisp edge that will see it develop wonderfully over 20plus years.

Despite the inclusion of a touch of the woodaged ‘Smith Cullam’ riesling (off a tiny old vine block) for complexity, this wine has a delicious and youthful verve and vibrancy.

Frankland Estate’s most highly rated rieslings have been among Australia’s best – and now this 2014 Isolation Ridge is their finest ever.
