Lancer linked to burglary spree

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Street Watch -

A MITSUBISHI Lancer was stolen during one of four burglaries on Forrest Street, which runs through Cottesloe and Peppermint Grove, on February 1.

Senior Sergeant Neil Morton-Smith said the potential connection between the two burglaries was being investigated.

Between 9am and 1pm that day, a latch was forced on the back window of a house at Forrest Street, Cottesloe. The house was ransacked and jewellery and electrical goods of an undisclosed value were taken, before the white Lancer’s keys were used to take the vehicle.

The unrecovered Lancer has been connected to several burglaries in the northern suburbs in the days after its theft. Sen Sgt Morton- Smith said no significant items were taken in the other burglaries, which occurred about the same time.
