Team’s lungs in the right place

Western Suburbs Weekly - - Western Opinion -

ROTTNEST Swim team Community Newspaper Group for Cystic Fibrosis say they are excited and ready for this weekend’s swim, but are still seeking donations.

Team captain and CNG journalist Tom Rabe said the team had been training well over the past few months and felt prepared for the 20km open-water swim.

Rabe said although he and team members Alex Clapin, George Gaylard and Alastair Campbell were ready for the race, they wanted to raise more money for Cystic Fibrosis WA.

“I think we’re well prepared and ready to go; the only thing left to do is meet our fundraising goal for CFWA, and of course finish the swim,” Rabe said.

“They’re an incredible organisation; they fund critical research into cystic fibrosis and provide much-needed support to people with CF as well as their families.”

The team of four will set off from Cottesloe Beach along with hundreds of other competitors this Saturday, February 21, in the 25th year of the race.
